- Courtney is responsible for compiling
- An excel sheet will be created on the uafswe@gmail account details companies and contacts - so that all ECD committee members can give suggestions and edit
- Send any suggestions previous to the excel sheet to Courtney at [email protected] or [email protected]
Budget:
- Beth, as Treasurer, will be the point of contact
- Roughly expected to be $7000 (based on previous ECD's - perhaps we can make this less)
Tickets/Registration:
- Veronica has created and will update
- Grace has begun the process of creating the website registration on the UAF SWE website
- Online registration will include a blurb about the companies and what types of students they want (i.e. major/year/etc.)
- Veronica will add a section for UAF Staff and Grace will alter the online registration - must convey to the staff the intention to seat them with companies somehow and hopefully increase staff attendance
- Company Reps $50 / UAF Staff $30 / Students $15 (pre) /$30 (once in 'fudge' land)
- Must ensure that the online registration includes a time stamp - so that we can seat people on a first come first serve basis
Advertisement:
- Brett Wells will be a key point person for the creation of the slideshow screen (for around campus)
- Brett and Katrina have made an advertisement video, however we must ensure permission from a couple of the speakers
- Veronica will create 3/4 different fliers for the ECD - which we will print on different colors of neon paper
- Everyone - will assist in the mass distribution of the filers - at Duckering, Reichart, CTC, RSS, Bunnel, Library, Wood Center, dorms, and anywhere else we can think of
- Initially - plan to remove the usage of large banners, however their may be further discussion on this topic
- Courtney will put Beth and Grace in contact with Melissa (the SWE Regional contact in Anchorage)
Event Program:
- Veronica will email last year's addition to Shannon
- Shannon will be in charge of updates
- Brett Wells, a professional DJ, will be providing the sound and requested recognition in the program (cake logo / slideshow logo ?maybe?)
Photography/Media Relationship: (who wants to be in charge of Photography? Katrina?)
- Formally invite Todd Paris to come attend and take photographs - offer to bribe with food (Either Grace or Courtney)
- Invite Sunstar - contact Elika Roohi (Either Courtney or Andy )

IEEE:

- Due to complications and extra dedicated officer board - no partnership is needed this year

3/22/2011 Meeting Min:
UAF SWE Proposed Structure:
President- Will be responsible for overseeing the events committee. The Events committee will be expected to have a meeting every other week with one of the for topics. Committee members will help organize the events, get speakers and help develop topics
-Events : Every other week Tuesday (2 / month): Four events every two months
-Professional Development
-Social
-Networking
-Technical
-Vice President- Will be responsible for overseeing the Outreach committee. The Outreach committee will be expected to have an outreach event at least every 2 months. The events don't have to be UAF run event but can be other organization's events or community events where UAF SWE helps support. However UAF SWE should participate in Engineering week at UAF.
-Outreach: One every 2 months
- Secretary Is responsible for over seeing publicity and website. They do not do this work themselves but help and support the person acting as the publicity chair and the website chair for each committee. The Secretary is also responsible for taking brief mins. of the meetings and sending them out to members, especially if there is something important discussed.
-Publicity: Fliers, Facebook, Student Organization blurb
-Website: School Website developer
Treasurer: Is responsible for all financial transactions and for overseeing fund-raising.
-Fund-raising:Open for interpretation
- Discussed topics for UAF SWE 2011-2012 (see attached)
- Decided that next Meeting 4/5/2011 will be Women in a Man's world > Will get Pizza deliver >Will publicize to entire campus: Krystle will make flier and print our copies. Aubrey & Courtney will hit up freshmen dorms, Grace will do other Dorms, Courtney will do Wood Center and Post Office and Krystle will do Duckering.
- Also need to get details on how to access our account to put money in and talk money out. Grace is going to get in contact with Heather.
- Plan a go through SWE materials meeting : Sunday afternoon Possibly April 10th - Krystle will send out a follow up e-mail asking for interests.
- Discussed going to National Conference on October 2011. Travel grant form needs to be in by March 31. Krystle to send out e-mail gauging interest in members who would want to attend.
